What NOT To Do on a Cleanse

What NOT to do during a juice cleanse:

1. Don’t be a party animal– unless your idea of a party is being low key and watching Netflix.
You may experience slightly less energy than normal while you’re on your cleanse, so you may not feel like partying anyways. Don’t be alarmed! It’s normal to experience this, especially if you’re an avid caffeine drinker. The good news is, while your body is getting rid of toxins in your body you will most likely have much more energy than normal after your cleanse is over.
2. NO drinking or smoking.
If you’re trying to do a healthy thing for yourself, doing the opposite is counterproductive. If you’re doing a 3 day cleanse, that is the amount of time it takes for nicotine to leave your body, so if you are a smoker you will rid yourself of your nicotine dependence during your cleanse. I can’t think of a better time or opportunity to quit your bad habit than this!
3. Don’t push yourself.
Most people feel great after their cleanse, but it might be harder to get through for some than others. It’s important to remember that a juice cleanse is different for everyone. Some people will feel hungrier than others. Some people will experience headaches and some will not. Pay attention to what your body is telling you, and if you are feeling terrible, try eating a small healthy snack like nuts or whole vegetables.
4. Don’t freak out about it.
Don’t overthink it. Try to keep your mind occupied while you’re on your cleanse by doing low impact activities such as puzzles catching up on your favorite shows, or reading. Sit back, relax, and let our juice do the work.
