Our best tips and tricks for your easiest cleanse!

How to Drink Your Juices

  • Add 1 or 2 ice cubes to your juice and enjoy with a straw.
  • Chew your juice! Swish around your mouth and “chew” before swallowing.
  • Cravings are normal. Especially on your 1st day. The cravings will lessen on Day 2 and Day 3 once you start detoxing.
  • Reduce your time on social media or T.V. so you can avoid pictures of foods. It makes the process less difficult.
  • Drink a juice as soon as you feel hungry. Don’t save it for later.
  • Once you crack open a juice, finish it and don’t save it for later. Oxidation will prevent your juice from staying fresh. A juice that has gone bad and has oxidized will appear darker in color.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day as it will keep you feeling full and helps your body transport the needed nutrients and flush out toxins.
  • Get creative with your h20 and add lemon and fruits like strawberries, oranges, add mint and some cucumber to create infused water!

In Case of Emergency

  • Nuts..etc
  • If you’re having extreme cravings and needs something to hold you over, make a vegetable puree vegetable or bone/veggie. They are all full of vitamins and minerals and still allow for your digestive system to take a break.

Keep Yourself Busy

    • Try 30 minutes of light cardio (walking, swimming, yoga) each day to get your blood flow going. Exercise during your cleanse will help you shed weight and promote key detoxification processes in the body. It’ll simulate lymphatic flow, blood circulation, respiration, and it promotes sweating which is safe movement of toxins out of the body. Exercise also improves function of your kidney, digestive tract, lungs, and liver, which are the organ systems responsible for the processing and elimination of toxins.
    • … but still listen to your body and don’t over exert yourself.
    • Yoga is therapeutic and great for increasing the effects of your cleanse in the same way as massages.

  • Drink your #6 as a post workout meal. There’s plenty of protein in #6 for muscle recovery!
  • Keep a journal during your cleanse of how you’re feeling (maybe share some of those thoughts on social media using #JuiceMi!).
  • Get at least 8 hours of sleep so your body can heal, you should always do this, but especially while cleansing.

Pamper Yourself!

  • It’s a perfect time for spa day! Splurge a little on a detoxifying massage. Your body is hard at work ridding itself of toxins and massage therapy encourages the process by improving circulation and getting the detoxification process going.
  • Saunas, hot tubs, and detox baths are great. As you sweat, your body is ridding itself of toxins, melting fat and even get you a little bit of cardio work out.
  • Detox Bath Instructions – epsom salt, baking soda, and a few drops of pure essential oils such as lavender or rose. Soak in the tub 10-20 minutes.

Feeling a Bit Uncomfortable?

  • If you’re not taking multiple trips to the bathroom for #2, head to your nearest drugstore to get some laxative tablets to help relieve constipation. We recommend Dulcolax. It’s $5 and easy on your stomach. Take 1 tablet around 8PM so you can feel refreshed in the morning.
  • It’s okay to feel uncomfortable during your cleanse. It’s part of the detoxing process.
  • If you’re experiencing headaches, lack of energy, upset stomach, anxiety, or sadness, those are normal symptoms of detoxing. They are reactions to the cleansing and healing process. The cleaner your body is to start, the smoother your process will be.

Post Cleanse Essentials!

  • Your digestive system is delicate after the cleanse. Your body has been on hiatus focusing solely on pushing toxins out and healing tissues. If you binge on hard to digest foods, you might feel stomach cramps, headaches, and bloating.
  • Lets not waste all your hard work over this past 3 days. Eliminate processed and fried foods, refined flour and sugar, soda and alcohol three days after your cleanse.
  • Extend your cleanse for added health benefits. Eat lots of greens after your cleanse. The best foods to finish off your cleanse are soups, vegetable purees, super-food smoothies, and steamed veggies.
  • It’s okay if this cleanse didn’t go as well as you’ve hoped. Just remember that the 18 17oz bottles of fresh juice you have been drinking for the past 3 days is equal to consuming 30 days of the recommended daily fruits and veggie intake so you still did (and are doing) your body a great favor!
