Hello and welcome! My name is Mimi and I am the founder of #JuiceMi. My mantra is to live a healthy and happy life by exploring different ways to nourish my mind, body and soul. Juicing has played a huge role in transforming my body and lifestyle, and inspired me to start my own cold-pressed juice line. A juice line made especially for the foodies that’s into health & fitness. At #JuiceMi, we don’t compromise taste for the added health benefits. We can have the best of both worlds! There is no added sugars or preservatives of any kind in #JuiceMi juices.

My background is Marketing in the start-up world. I’m currently studying to be a certified sports and exercise nutritionist.

Prior to my juicing lifestyle that began 3 years ago, I lacked confidence and suffered with having a poor body image. I tried different fad diets including diet pills (Hydroxycut; a sort of greentea-magic-berry pill form from a diet infomercial), tea detoxes, supplement detoxes, low-carb diets, the paleo diet… you name it and I probably have tried it. I was killing myself at the gym twice a day, 3-4 times a week. The saddest thing is that I never got the result that I wanted. After all of that, I was never happy with my body.

Screen Shot 2015-05-07 at 11.37.07 PMIt’s time to get real and personal. I know this is a heavy subject that most people don’t like to talk about. I am only sharing my story with you because the truth is… we’ve all experienced tough times that put us into a victim mindset. Each of us has a story, and sometimes…it’s not a good one. We carry weight from our past that leads us to think poisonous things, like you’re are not worthy of looking your best or we’re unable to live up to our true potential. I’m not sharing my story for your sympathy but becuase I want you to know where I’ve been and where I am today. It hasn’t been an easy journey but what I’ve been through drives me keep going and not give up on myself.

I was involved in an emotional and physical abusive relationship from the age of 14 until 19. No should experience what I’ve experienced and I thank God every day that I am no longer in that dark place. Although I got out of that relationship, I was still chained to my past for the longest time.  This time was when I started having self-image issues that led to try all of those crash diets. I learned that I was seeking outside approval when I only needed my own approval to shine.

transformationI started juicing 3 years ago because I was desperate to feel healthy and energized. I experienced brain fog, lacked of energy. and needed at least 2 cups of coffee to get through my day. Thyroid problems are common for the women in my family.  I was so worried that I had thyroid issues too, that I recieved a full blood test to figure out the root of my health problems. My results came back perfectly, but it didn’t change the fact that I felt fatigued all the time. I figured it was because I ate out all the time and didn’t understand proper nutrition.

I bought fresh, green juices at the juice bars, taught myself about juicing, and went on to buy my first juicer! The fun began when I started blogging about my juicing experience and sharing the progress of my body’s transformation. You can find my personal blog at mimichau.com. My first cleansing experience was phenomenal. I cleansed for the first 3 days and incorporated juicing in my daily diet. I’m not a great cook so it was convenient to juice for meal replacement instead of eating out or skipping meals. My energy levels improved quickly. I finally had the motivation and energy to exercise. I had hated running before, but I started enjoying my 3 mile runs (which would have been impossible for me before juicing). My skin was glowing, and I lost 8 lbs of unwanted, extra weight in a month. Most importantly, it changed my perspective on dieting, and I was slowly breaking free from my victim mentality. The other diets I had tried felt like a drag, but Juicing is something I feel I can do for the rest of my life. I don’t feel like I am depriving myself, I feel like I am nourishing my body instead. I love sweets and the good news is, I don’t have to stop eating cupcakes! Instead of the whole box, I can just eat one. Juicing helps me control portion sizes and be more aware of what I eat and how it makes me feel.  I have started cooking more at home so I know exactly what I’m putting in my body. I buy organic when possible. It feels good to be taking care of my body. For the first time, I feel a sense of self happiness that radiates in me from the inside out.

I don’t believe in dieting in a way that restricts myself. I’ve tried, and it doesn’t work! I get so much joy from indulging in delicious foods with the people I love. I am a huge foodie. I love to travel and to try out new restaurants… cleansing has became a monthly ritual to reset my body to get back to healthy habits. I’ve committed to living a healthy, spiritual, and well-balanced life by incorporating juicing, fitness, meditation, yoga, and seeking self-improvement to better my life while sharing what I learn with others.

Mimi & Henry - 121Juicing has made a significant change in my life. I’ve became stronger mentally and physically. The change didn’t happen overnight, but gradually I began to see my progress. I’m celebrating each small success along the way. Today, I have lost a total of over 10 lbs throughout my journey. As far as healthy habits go… this might sound a bit extreme, but I gave up alcohol! It’s been 5 months and counting, and I am so proud that I was able to give up something that no longer serves me. I don’t depend on coffee to get me through the day. I eat healthy on the weekdays, incorporating a juice or two into my daily diet. And of course, I set the weekends aside for indulging. Every day, I wake up full of gratitude, and it all started with incorporating juicing in my daily routine. I hope my story inspires you to give juicing a try!

With lots of encouragement to follow my passion from my friends, family, and Husband, Henry, I started #JuiceMi to share my love for juicing with you and my biggest wish is that it will benefit your health as it did mine. Eating healthy and working out shouldn’t be a painful experience. It’s enjoyable once you figure out what works for you.

I want to help you be healthy and feel your best so you can enjoy your life to the fullest. It’s a joy to create unique blends of delicious tasting juices that don’t taste like medicine or something that you have to force yourself to drink in order to gain the health benefits. #JuiceMi strives to provide our clients with the best cleansing experience and supportive community. I’m here to support you every step of the way!

Xo,

Mimi
